Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or greased foil, and draw a 9 3/4-inch circle on each. Spoon a quarter of the batter onto each circle and spread it evenly to the edges. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
