Spiced Pumpkin Monkey Bread

In a bread machine, add the first 11 ingredients in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select the dough setting and check the dough after 5 minutes of mixing, adding 1-2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed.

In a large saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients and cook, stirring, until blended. Remove from heat.

Once the dough cycle is complete, turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 36 portions. Shape the portions into balls.

Arrange half of the dough balls in a greased 10-inch fluted tube pan, then cover with half of the sauce. Repeat the layers, making sure to thoroughly coat the top layer with the sauce.

Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown, covering loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly.
