Crispy Baked Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Juicy, crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. The perfect balance of flavors with a hint of spice from the cayenne pepper.
Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip sections. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, paprika, and cayenne. Add wings, a few at a time, and shake to coat.
-
2
Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
-
3
In a large saucepan, combine the butter, hot pepper sauce, brown sugar, chili sauce, honey, balsamic vinegar, salt, and paprika. Cook and stir over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.
-
4
Transfer the baked wings to a large bowl and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Toss to coat the wings evenly. Serve immediately, garnished with additional chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
