In a large Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and Italian seasoning over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

Add 2 cups of water, the chopped onions, celery, uncooked wild rice, beef bouillon, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender.

Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, the drained mushroom stems and pieces, and the remaining 4 cups of water. Cover and simmer for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the soup is heated through and the flavors have blended.
