Moist Applesauce Spice Muffins

Stir in the applesauce until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. If desired, fold in the chopped walnuts.
