Roll the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Insert a wooden stick into the center of each cookie.

Flatten each cookie slightly with a glass dipped in sugar, then pinch the top to form cat ears. Use a fork to press whisker indentations into the sides of each cookie.
