Decadent Caramel Peanut Tart

Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.

In a heavy saucepan, combine the caramel candies, Snickers bars, caramel topping, and 1/4 cup of the heavy cream. Cook and stir over low heat until smooth and blended. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped peanuts. Spread the caramel mixture over the cooled cookie crust. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup of heavy cream. Stir until smooth. Spread the chocolate mixture over the chilled caramel layer. If desired, sprinkle with additional chopped peanuts. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.
