Baked Beef and Tater Tot Casserole

Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread the tater tots in an even layer in a 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, uncovered.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Crumble the beef and drain any excess fat. Stir in the garlic powder, black pepper, cream of broccoli soup, milk, frozen broccoli, 3/4 cup of the fried onions, and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese. Heat the mixture through.

Pour the beef mixture over the pre-baked tater tots. Bake, covered, for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the remaining fried onions and shredded cheese over the top. Bake, uncovered, for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
