Baked Cheesy Beef Roulade
Savory ground beef is rolled around a creamy sour cream, cheddar, and olive filling, then baked to perfection. This comforting and flavorful beef roulade is perfect for any special occasion.
Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, combine the milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, crushed cornflakes, onion, celery, salt, ground mustard, rubbed sage, and black pepper. Crumble the ground beef over the mixture and mix lightly but thoroughly.
-
2
On a large piece of heavy-duty foil, pat the beef mixture into a 14x10-inch rectangle. Spread the sour cream over the beef, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and sliced pimiento-stuffed olives over the sour cream.
-
3
Carefully roll up the beef mixture, starting with a short side and peeling away the foil as you roll. Seal the seam and ends. Place the rolled beef, seam side down, in a greased 13x9-inch baking dish.
-
4
Bake, uncovered, until the beef is no longer pink and a thermometer inserted into the center reads 160°F, about 65-75 minutes. Let the roulade stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, if desired.
