Savory Beef Burgundy with Mushrooms over Egg Noodles

In a Dutch oven or large nonstick skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat. Sauté the beef and onion until the beef is lightly browned, about 1-2 minutes.

Stir in the mushrooms, burgundy wine, 1/4 cup water, 2 tablespoons parsley, and the seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, until the beef is tender, about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a small bowl, mix the flour and remaining water until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the beef mixture. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Discard the bay leaf and clove.

If desired, stir in the browning sauce. Serve the beef burgundy over the cooked egg noodles, and sprinkle with the remaining parsley.
