Cheesy Beef and Broccoli Crescent Braid
Savory ground beef, tender broccoli, and melted mozzarella cheese are wrapped in flaky, golden crescent roll dough for a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The braided presentation makes this dish both visually appealing and fun to share.
Instructions
-
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, breaking the beef into crumbles, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess fat.
-
2
Stir in the frozen broccoli, shredded mozzarella cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Heat the mixture through.
-
3
Unroll one tube of crescent dough onto a greased baking sheet, forming it into a 12x8-inch rectangle and pressing the perforations to seal.
-
4
Spoon half of the beef and broccoli mixture lengthwise down the center of the rectangle. On each long side, cut 1-inch wide strips at an angle from the edge to about 3 inches into the center. Fold one strip from each side over the filling and pinch the ends together, repeating this process.
-
5
Repeat the process with the remaining crescent dough and filling to create a second braid.
-
6
Bake the braids for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
