Grilled Korean Beef Bulgogi

Freeze the beef ribeye steaks until firm, about 30 minutes. Then, cut the steaks crosswise into 1/4-inch slices. Sprinkle the beef with sugar and place in a large resealable plastic bag. Add the soy sauce, oil, sesame seeds, minced garlic, hot pepper sauce, and red pepper flakes. Seal the bag and turn to coat the beef. Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

Thread the marinated beef onto 10 metal or soaked wooden skewers, discarding any remaining marinade. Grill the beef skewers over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness. If desired, sprinkle the grilled beef with the thinly sliced green onions.
